Count on Ardent: 7 Ways Ardent Provides Peace of Mind for You and Your Loved One

If your loved one is enrolled in hospice care, you probably took the time to seek out a reputable organization—like Ardent Hospice & Palliative Care—that has a visible passion for providing care to its patients. There’s no right or wrong when choosing a hospice care agency, but at the end of the day, you should have the peace of mind that your loved one is fully cared for.

At Ardent, it’s our mission to relieve a patient’s pain and suffering while providing them and their loved ones complete peace of mind. This belief permeates all aspects of our service in seven noticeable ways:

Our entire team wants to get to know and care for your loved one.

Because Ardent is a smaller agency, we are able to really focus on being aware of the needs and wishes of every single one of our patients. Our smaller organization means each of our team members has a more integral role in the care we provide. We are able to know your loved one in different capacities, providing a better overall care plan. It’s one of the things that make us very special; we all know each of our patients on a personal level and can care for them across the board.

You have access to a nurse 24/7.

When you contact our office, you’ll reach one of our nurses or staff—not a machine or an outside answering service—at any time of day, 24/7. Because there’s always someone there to answer your call, you can reach our nurses and staff 24/7. And, as our entire team is knowledgeable about the conditions and circumstances of every patient, whomever you speak with will either have the answers you’re looking for, or connect you directly to a case manager or nurse.

Delivering a quick response time is our priority.

Our reachability makes our response time much quicker than going through an answering service or needing to speak with several people. For instance, we can reach a new patient the same day we have initial contact with them. We are also able to meet patients and their families immediately if there is an emergency or other need. Ultimately, our quick response times should give you peace of mind because we’re available to give your loved one the care they need, the moment they need it.

We have a chaplain on staff for spiritual needs.

Besides being able to respond to patients’ physical and medical needs, we provide our patients access to a chaplain to meet their spiritual needs as well. Both our chaplain and our social worker are able to see patients and their families as often as they want. They’re both an essential part of our team who are also dedicated to walking with you through this difficult journey.

You become a part of our family.

On a more personal level, each of our team members (nurse, chaplain, social worker, volunteer or director) is here to provide support to you and your loved one. Our patients and their families become an extended part of our Ardent family. We’ve had family members cry on our shoulder and have even had patients offer our individual team members life advice as they say their final goodbyes to their loved ones. It’s important to us to connect with every family we work with on an emotional level and build up trust, so you can count on us when you really need it.

Our No One Should Die Alone Foundation provides extra support to patients in need.

We partner with the No One Should Die Alone Foundation, which gives our patients the opportunity to have their end-of-life wishes and dreams granted and realized. Basic human needs must be met in order to feel a sense of peace. This is why NOSDAF provides the basic necessities, life enhancements, and wish fulfillment to the patients, family members, caregivers, and loved ones coping with life-limiting illness. Working with NOSDAF allows us to provide services that go above and beyond the typical realm of hospice care.

We help you create moments you’ll treasure forever.

Overall, our goal is simply to bring a higher quality of life to our patients during their final days. The families we care for often tell us about the amazing, intimate moments they are able to have with their loved one because they’re as comfortable as possible and can let their guard down. The daughter of one of our patients told us she had one of the best conversations she’s had with her dad in her whole life, and it’s because he was able to open up. If we can make a patient’s final days a special time in their life, we’ve accomplished our goal of delivering a sense of peacefulness and hope to the patient and their loved ones.

Our mission will always be to make the end-of-life journey easier for our patients and their loved ones. Providing peace of mind is just one way Ardent goes above and beyond for the people we care for.
